Freedom House has a hotline that is staffed 24 hours a day. This provides resources and help to anyone facing abuse. The hotline is available 365 days a year.

Freedom House has an emergency shelter for anyone impacted by abuse that needs a safe place to go. The shelter is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Counseling is provided by Freedom House free of charge to survivors. Our counselors are licensed in the state of Texas. Counseling provides survivors with a safe environment to work toward healing from abuse. Process trauma, learn coping skills, expressing emotions, healing from abuse and working toward other goals selected by the client. Counseling is provided on an individual basis, and is provided to both children and adults. Ages 3 and up.
Freedom House Advocates are the first point of contact when becoming a client. An advocate is a person who has your best interests in mind. They ensure survivor’s voices are heard, rights are respected, and help with the healing process. Victim advocates at Freedom House have been trained to support survivors in the following ways:
• Crisis intervention
• Explore coping with symptoms
• Normalize and validate experiences and feelings
• Provide information, options, and resources
• Provide education about sexual assault and domestic violence
Support groups are offered for all clients of Freedom House, free of charge. We offer both therapeutic support groups and peer support groups. Therapeutic support groups are led by the counselors at Freedom House, providing therapeutic support on various topics Therapeutic support groups are for clients currently in therapy at Freedom House. Our peer support groups are led by our advocates and help offer life skills, as well as other forms of support. These groups are hosted monthly with a new topic, and sometimes feature a guest speaker. They are available for anyone in services.
Accompaniment to the hospital, law enforcement or court is offered to clients. A Freedom House advocate is available to accompany any survivors to the listed above places for help.
Crossroads is our youth program that helps teens with current issues they’re facing. From bullying, to discrimination, to healthy relationships, to respect, and boundaries, we cover many things our teens are dealing with on a daily basis. Transportation and dinner are provided for all attendees. The program meets on Mondays and Thursdays after school until 6:30. It is free for all teens 6th-12th grade.
Freedom House offers education programs for a variety of professions and community organizations. Each program can be tailored to meet your individual needs.
